The LENS Process

What to Expect

During a Typical Session

Brain Mapping

We use a low read and feedback setting at each of the 21 10/20 brain map sites to get an accurate Map of Your Brain. We then talk about your next session and what sites we will work with first on your journey to a recalibrated brain! Each subsequent session will consist of using unto 6 sites per session.

Session

Your time spent with us should be an enjoyable and comfortable experience. We will spend some time talking about what issues you’re currently dealing with and any concerns you may have about the LENS experience, all while seated in our comfortable treatment chair.

We do not engage in any ‘Talk Therapy’ during your LENS sessions, however, everyday conversation is always appropriate and welcomed during your sessions with us. With that said, conversation is not expected during your LENS session. If you choose to remain quiet, we will always respect your desire for silence if that is what you prefer.

If this is a follow up session, we will ask if you have noticed any changes(positive or negative) within yourself over the past week from our last session.

Apply Sensor Clips & Begin Session

We will then begin the process of applying sensor clips on each ear(this grounds the machine to your body and lessens interference. We will place one to two sensors at a time to your scalp, carefully moving the hair out of the way of the sensor so that it makes contact with the scalp. After the site has been completed we will gently clean up the area of the scalp and hair, we will then repeat this process until we have completed all sites for that day. As we place the sensors on your head, most people do not feel anything. Although, on occasion, we do come across individuals whose physiology is very sensitive and may feel a slight buzzing or pressure sensation.

Wrapping Up the Session

If at any time there is discomfort, we will stop our current session and continue where we left off at our next session; when this occurs, it simply means we have reached the body's threshold with the LENS and should stop until the next session.

At the end of your first session we will have completed a ‘Brain Map’ collecting feedback from the 21 points of your brain. We will then discuss how we will move forward with subsequent visits.

What to Expect

After a Typical Session

How long before I see any results?

On average, you can expect to see results quickly. Some people feel changes within the first 1-3 visits while most will experience long lasting results after 6-12 visits.

How much personal involvement is necessary ?

Although you don’t have to physically do anything during the treatment itself, you play a crucial role in helping balance your life and working towards achieving your goals. You will be asked to fill out a few forms at the beginning of your treatment and we will ask you some questions to find out if your goals are being met and if you notice any "changes" within yourself. Asking these questions helps us track the changes you experience and help us make good choices moving forward with your LENS sessions.

Are there any side effects?

There are rarely any uncomfortable side effects after your treatment, but it is possible that you may feel ‘wired’ or ‘tired’ immediately following the appointment. This is completely normal and no cause for concern. Some people have experienced a dull headache the day after their first session but usually goes away within a short period of time. We encourage you to drink a lot of water, eat, and rest well before your next appointment.  Your brain is on its way to feeling better!

As your sessions progress, and your brain starts to regulate itself, you may find that the medications you are taking begin to react differently. It is important that you are aware of what the side effects of your medications are and if necessary, contact your physician to see about making changes. We are not doctors, we cannot and do not diagnose or advise about any prescriptions or protocols you are using.
